Incineroar Detailed Guide – Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Our Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Incineroar Guide details everything that you need to know about Incineroar in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Introduction

Incineroar is a Pokémon and is the final evolution form of Litten. It is a wrestler and its type is Fire and Dark which makes it a dangerous fighter to fight with. Its attacks are good and powerful but the recovery speed is painfully slow because Incineroar will pose after landing every attack. This makes timing very important with it. Overall, Incineroar has decent speed and can land attacks quickly.

Since Incineroar is a wrestler, its loves to grab its opponents. For a heavyweight wrestler, it is also surprisingly quick on its feet making it an agile fighter and a force to reckon with. Opponents will have a hard time throwing him off the stage but it is a good thing because recoveries are not Incineroar’s strongest suite.

Attacks

We have detailed Incineroar’s moves below.

Grounded Attacks

The following attacks can only be performed while Incineroar is on the ground.

Neutral Attacks

Incineroar’s neutral attack is combination of three hits. The first attack will deal 2.5 damage, the second 2.8 and the finisher deals 4.7 damage before knocking the enemies away from Incineroar. The first attack is a chop attack which is followed by a knee kick. The finisher is a powerful elbow uppercut which will knock the enemies away from it and after completing the attack, Incineroar will pose.

Dash Attack

Incineroar’s Dash attack deals 13 damage to enemies. If enemies are hit early during the dash, they are dealt more damage and increased knockback then enemies hit later in the dash. Incineroar jumps and covers the ground in front of it with massive speed before planting a powerful knee kick on anyone standing in the way.

If this attack is blocked, Incineroar is left vulnerable and ready to be taken to a land filled with combos. If you hit enemies early, you will also push right ahead to their other side apart from dealing increased damage and knockback.

Defensive Attacks

Incineroar’s ledge attack deals 10 damage and wakeup attack deals 7 damage to enemies.

Tilts

Incineroar has three Tilt attacks and we have detailed them below.

Side Tilt

It deals 13 damage before knocking enemies away from Incineroar. Incineroar will use its left hand and land a powerful claw stab on the enemies standing in front of it. This attack has good reach and deals decent enough damage to enemies if the attack lands on them. You can aim it a little higher or lower using the control stick. Watch out if someone is shielding, this attack leaves you open in that case.

Up Tilt

It deals 9 damage to enemies and all set for a follow up juggle. For this attack, Incineroar will jump up slightly and then swing its head from back to forward forming a powerful arcing attack. The attack range starts at the back and goes all the way to the front of Incineroar. This attack is most effective after you shield someone’s attack.

Down Tilt

It deals 9 damage to enemies and it also sets up enemies nicely for a juggle combo. Incineroar will put all its weight on one hand and lie flat on the ground. After this, it will start spinning and land a powerful spinning kick to enemies standing in front. The foot kicking enemies cannot be hit during this attack so it cannot be interrupted.

Smashes

Incineroar can perform the following three Smash attacks.

Side Smash

It deals 20-28 damage. This is a powerful rising attack where Incineroar will crouch and then leap in the air to land a powerful rising kick to enemies. This attack has massive recovery time because after the kick, Incineroar will fall to the ground without any in-air recovery option. The attack itself is very powerful and can even land you some KOs. It also does good damage to enemy shields.

Up Smash

It deals 17-23.8 damage. Incineroar will clasp his hands and swing both hands around in a powerful hammer attack in half a circle around him. The attack will cover his front, above and back. Incineroar will first hit the enemies in front and then spin to hit them at the back followed by another attack.

Down Smash

It deals 16-22.4 damage. For this attack, Incineroar will jump up quickly and then land a powerful attack to the enemy by jumping on them with all limbs outstretched. This attack works like a flop on the enemies from above. The attack will cover both front and back sides with this attack. This attack can also confuse enemies into faking an attack since Incineroar will hang in the air for a little bit before coming down hard.

Grabs

Incineroar’s normal grab attack deals 1.6 damage. Front and Up throw will deal 10 damage to enemies. Back throw deals 12 damage while Down throw will deal 9 damage to enemies. Incineroar’s grab has low range so it is best to get a little close before attempting to grab enemies.

Throwing enemies at the front and the back will make them hit other enemies on the stage. You can use this to add some knockback to the throws. Like most other fighters, Incineroar’s Back throw is the mightiest and can give you potential KOs in a match.

Aerial Attacks

These attacks can only be performed in the air by Incineroar.

Neutral Air Attack

It deals 13 damage. Incineroar will jump in the air and smash down onto enemies with its limbs and arms outstretched in the form of a belly flop. The smash will damage and knockback all enemies in its range. This is Incineroar’s fastest air attack. The recovery time for this attack is also low making this attack a solid addition in Incineroar’s arsenal.

Forward Air Attack

It deals 13 damage. Incineroar will jump towards the enemy with its legs outstretched and land a powerful dual leg kick in their face. This attack has less recovery time as well so you can spam this attack as much as you like. Just watch out for enemy shields or the tides will be turned quickly.

Back Air Attack

It deals 13 damage. Incineroar will turn around and land a powerful kick to enemies behind himself. This is a fast attack and recovery time is also low. This attack is much better than the Front Air Attack both in terms of speed and area of damage.

Up Air Attack

It deals 8 damage. Incineroar will flip backwards and land a powerful slash above him with his leg. This is also a very quick attack and will keep enemies away from you in the air. Recovery time is also low making this an ideal quick air attack for Incineroar. Enemies hit by this attack can be juggled later.

Down Air Attack

It deals 15 damage to enemies. From the air, Incineroar will come down crashing to the ground with both his legs joined together in a massive slam. Enemies will be hit on the way down as well and on the ground, the powerful smash will knock them away from Incineroar.

Special Moves

Incineroar has four special moves which we have detailed below.

Neutral Special Attack – Darkest Lariat

It deals 16 damage at the front and 12 damage at the back. This attack can be performed both in the air or the ground. For this attack, Incineroar will start spinning with his massive claws spread out around him. This is a very quick attack and you can move Incineroar left or right while he is spinning. The attack lasts a very decent amount of time as well.

Enemies hit on either side of Incineroar will be knocked away from it. The spinning is so fast that if someone blocks or uses a shield, they will have a very small window to react before the other Incineroar’s claw comes and hits them. During this time, Incineroar’s body is also invincible if he is on the ground so he gets no damage whatsoever.

Side Special – Alolan Whip

It deals 20/12/4 damage to enemies. For this attack, Incineroar will rush towards the enemy at the front and tries to grab them. If Incineroar manages to grab enemies, they are thrown into a temporary turnbuckle with ropes just like those in a wrestling ring. They appear suddenly for this attack. After hitting them, the enemies will bounce back towards Incineroar where things get interesting.

Depending on the time of your input, Incineroar will deal differently with the enemies coming back at him after hitting the ropes. If you press early, Incineroar will land a powerful throw on them which will toss them even further then the ropes that just appeared for the attack. If you do not attempt any attack or input very late, both fighters will collide and both will receive damage.

The perfect attack after the rope toss is when you press the input right before Incineroar’s contact with the enemy after they bounce back from the ropes. This will cause Incineroar to pick them up and throw them massively back dealing damage and most probably granting you a KO. Enemies caught in the throws are also damaged.

Up Special – Cross Chop

It deals 3,3.5 and 9 damage to enemies. For this attack, Incineroar will go up in the air in a fiery stance and then come back to the ground in the similar way. You can hit and damage enemies both on the way up and on the way down. This attack takes quite long to finish so you should time it well.

On the way up, Incineroar can also hit enemies in front of him during the early phases of the attack. On the peak, Incineroar will stop, spin and then start heading back down in the same attack mode. Enemies can be hit on the spin and coming down as well. At the end, Incineroar will slam into the ground which will again damage enemies caught in the smash.

On the way back, if you see some platforms or solid surfaces in your way, you can hold down to make Incineroar pass through them. This is excellent for hitting those players who try to hide under solid surfaces to avoid the attack when Incineroar is coming back donw.

Down Special – Revenge

It deals 2.4 damage. This is a defensive move. Incineroar will enter a defensive mode where it will start flashing with lights with its chest swollen out. Anyone who attacks Incineroar after this will initiate revenge which will power up Incineroar massively and the enemies will be thrown back.

Enemy’s attack will deal damage to Incineroar but it will be now charged and will get a damage boost until Incineroar is KO’d, one minute passes, an attack lands on enemy which deals bonus damage or Incineroar is knocked back into the air flying. Any of these conditions will empty the charge and Incineroar will return to its normal state.

You can use the complete 60 seconds to lash out as much damage to enemies as you can. You can also stack the buff by performing Revenge again and again. This way you will keep refreshing the one minute time and then continue to deal damage to your enemies. However watch out for powerful moves that could KO you or send you flying in the air.

Final Smash – Max Malicious Moonsault

When you unleash Incineroar’s Final Smash, it will run towards the first enemy in its way, grab them and transport them to Incineroar’s wrestling ring where they are introduced to some of Incineroar’s many hospitality options. The main target for the attack is the enemy grabbed by Incineroar but other enemies near the ring also take damage from the final smash.

  1. I came here because it was top on google. The website is trash. I’m trying to read and it shifts up and down bc ads are loading. I don’t care about ads because you gotta make money somehow but when I completely lose my spot every 10 seconds, it’s a bit annoying.
