Teamgroup has launched the industry’s very first and the largest consumer-grade 15.3TB 2.5” SATA known simply as the QX. With its debut, it certainly has shaken up the industry because of its massive size. The QX used the latest 3D QLC Flash memory and has up to 2560TBW of write life. It is super durable when compared to other products in the industry as well and is very lightweight and compact.
However, the small size and weight do not limit its performance in any way. Boasting a massive 15.3TB of storage space. Teamgroup states that the SSD also has a write life up to 2560TBW. With an investment this big, you will certainly want a product that is stable and reliable and Teamgroup claims that the QX is quite capable of handling the daily tasks of any sort and is a solid addition to any type of system requiring big amounts of data to be stored.
QX supports smart dual Cache, including SLC Caching technology and DRAM Cache Buffer that delivers 560/480MB per second of ultra-fast read/write speed for smooth user experience. It also comes with many added features such as low power consumption, shock resistance, noise-free, etc.
With the huge terabyte storage capacity of a mechanical hard drive and the read/write performance not found in traditional mechanical hard drives, it can revolutionize and redefine the consumer-grade 2.5” SATA SSD with its massive 15.3TB storage capacity.
QX does not only come with massive capacity and the highest write life but it also supports the Windows TRIM optimization command that can release free blocks, allowing the operating system to use them later immediately when writing data. The optimized access control technology of NCQ can speed up the transfer and write performance of the SSD and effectively reduces performance degradation and wear and tear of the drive.
This helps in prolonging the service life of the SSD to a great extent. The built-in smart algorithm management mechanics has functions such as garbage collection that ensures that the SSD is performing its operations efficiently. The powerful Wear-Leveling technology and ECC (Error Correction Code) function enhance the reliability of data transfer and provide consumers a reliable, compact SSD with massive capacity. Teamgroup has been extending its product range recently by expanding into various segments other than hardcore gaming. Their previous release includes the much more manageable CX Series SSDs and the MP33 PRO M.2 PCIe SSD. The previously released EX Series SSD is also a more diverse SSD catering to normal to hardcore users looking to expand their storage. Teamgroup already has a strong base established in the much more hardcore gaming segment with its T-Force branded SSD and NVMes.
Their T-Force Cardea Ceramic C440 SSD, T-Force Cardea Zero Z340 M.2 NVMe, ASUS TUF lineup of NVMes, Delta Max RGB SSD, and the world’ very first liquid-cooled SSD shows how much the brand caters to hardcore gamers. However, with their newer products, Teamgroup is now targeting generic PC and laptop users as well who are not much into hardcore gaming.
