Developer Asteroid Lab and publishers Goblinz Publishing and IndieArk have announced that their title Terraformers is leaving Early Access. The 1.0 version of Terraformers will arrive on March 9, 2023, and will also get new content such as a weekly challenge mode, new buildings, space projects, and technologies along with events, animations, and much more. Terraformers was released in Early Access on PC via Steam back in April 2022 and since then, the developer has been working on the game adding new content to the game and making it better.
The 1.0 launch of Terraformers will add new areas, new technologies and buildings, and new challenges to the game. The nearby moons of Phobos and Deimos will become new frontiers for building cities. The update will also bring new catastrophic events to the game. The Weekly challenges will allow players to try a specific game each week where new modifiers will be presented to them and they will try their best to beat the game on different difficulty levels and have their success streaks tracked with a leaderboard system.
In Terraformers, the Red Planet of Mars is your new home as you begin settling on the new planet by carefully planning, exploring, researching, and managing your resources. Terraformers will allow you to plan your colonies from the ground up. As you progress in the game, your population and scientific acumen will grow and as you explore more of the Red Planet, you will learn new things and research new technologies that will help you terraform the planet. This will help you in the creation of increased oxygen, moderating the temperature, ocean levels and atmosphere density.
You will also transport oceans from nearby celestial bodies, build space mirrors and even restart volcanoes as you spread adaptive bacteria and plant forests to geo-engineer your new home. As you collect resources and expand your civilization, you will need more than just raw resources to survive on the planet. Your people will have different demands of their own such as increased comfort, food, lighting, and accommodation. You will provide different entertainment opportunities to these people as well such as forests, parks, entertainment centers, and homesteads.

Terraformers is currently available on PC via Steam and GOG in Early Access and you can play the game right now if you want to dig into the Early Access of the game. The full release of Terraformers is right around the corner and you will be able to jump into it at the end of the week as well.
