Game launches are huge and also the most stressful because fans of the games have waited a long time and now they don’t want to wait any longer. This causes huge surge on the game servers and they often crash as they are unable to handle the sudden charge of connection and matchmaking request. A very similar fate was experienced by during the launch of Gears 5 when it launched into Early Access last week and servers were not able to properly handle the pressure.
As a result, players ended up sitting in queues for a long time and some of them just sat there waiting for game servers to respond to their many connection pings. This might be devastating for a small studio but The Coalition was quick to respond and fixed most of the connection and server issues over the weekend and fans were able to jump in their favorite title without much trouble.
The Coalition now wants to make up to its fans for all the launch troubles they went through with some free goodies. Arriving soon in the inboxes of all the players who played the game in its launch week are 5 days of boost and 600 Scrap. The 5 days boost will increase all the XP earned by the players in any of the different modes of Gears 5 and it will ensure that they level up quickly and make up for all the time lost in the launch week waiting for the servers to connect.

With the Ultimate Edition releasing last week, fans who opted for the Standard Edition can now jump in the game as well as today is the official launch date of Gears 5. The servers are now in a much better state and they will be able to play the game without any of the troubles faced by the Ultimate Edition owners. All rewards are expected to arrive within a week to all affected players.
