Division 2 Warlords of New York Video

Ubisoft has announced a brand new major expansion for The Division 2 ‘Warlords of New York’ which is slated to arrive next month. Warlords of New York will release on March 3, 2020, across all platforms and will add a major new location to the game. Apart from adding new content to the game, the expansion will also add fully localized Arabic dubbing, subtitles, and menus to the game.

The new expansion pack will be available to all players along with their base game. New players will now get The Division 2 along with Warlords of New York in their Standard Edition while old players who already own the game will need to purchase the DLC separately. Ultimate Edition owners will receive the base game, upcoming expansion along with all content from The Division 2’s Year 1 which includes classified assignments and unlocked specializations.

To begin Warlords of New York, players must be at Level 30 and have reached World Tier 5. Players opting for new purchases of The Division 2 will also get a Level 30 boost which can be activated if the players want to reach Level 30 quickly and jump in the brand new expansion. Once players are done with Warlords of New York campaign, they will be able to freely travel between Washington DC and New York City to enjoy both cities at their own pace.

According to the official press release, Ubisoft describes as Warlords of New York as:

In Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 Warlords of New York, Division Agents will go on the ultimate manhunt for Aaron Keener, a former Division Agent who has now gone rogue. Keener, along with his network of Rogue Agents, is now a major threat to the burgeoning rebirth of civilization. To track down Keener, Agents will roam the untamed living open world of Lower Manhattan; a former Dark Zone that was recently hit by a devastating hurricane that hit New York City harder than anywhere else in the US. Agents are tasked to explore new zones, each with iconic locations such as Two Bridges, Chinatown, and Wall Street. To get to Keener, players must take down each of his Rogue Agents.  Each Rogue Agent has their own unique back story and skill – which you gain once you take them down.

Ubisoft has also been gathering fan-feedback regarding the game and the new expansion will now arrive with a major update for the game. The new update will include a massive overhaul for the game which will allow players to better read and manage their gear inventory. The UI screen will be updated so that it always shows the roll ranges for each stats on a piece of gear or weapon. It will also include the return of god rolls along with improved readability and allowing players to make decisions much easier.

Players will also see a more streamlined gear recalibration system with item and stat usefulness indicators along with permanent attribute and stat storage at the recalibration station. This will all combine to allow Agents the flexibility to create the perfect build ever. The existing Dark Zones in The Division 2 will also be revitalized, returning back to a simpler rogue mechanic. The focus will go back to rewarding player-to-player interaction whether players are fighting each other or helping out each other against a tough Rogue player. The level cap will increase from 30 to 40 with the new expansion. Along with this, the expansion will also introduce an infinite progression system, the SHD level, and 4 new skills to customize the builds even more. New gear and new weapons will also be part of the new expansion.

Warlords of New York will also introduce a brand new post-launch mechanic: Seasons. It is a 3-month long themed endgame event with a new main target and his network to track down. The game will introduce this at a regular pace each with its own stories and unique rewards for the players who complete them. The very first season starts after one week of the release of Warlords of New York.

Apart from the main Season, each Season will also offer new in-game activities such as Leagues. Leagues are a series of challenges for players with opportunities to unlock rewards based on each player’s own abilities to complete challenges. Global Events are coming back to The Division 2 as well in the expansion. These time-limited events will come with a global modifier and they will allow players to earn exclusive new items if they manage to complete specific tasks. During each Season, players who play regularly will grow their Season level which will in-return allow them to earn even more rewards. Players can purchase a Season Pass as well to unlock additional prizes.

More details about The Division 2 Warlords of New York will be shared in the coming days by Ubisoft. In the meantime, you can head over to the official Ubisoft site for additional information on the new expansion.
