SNK CORPORATION has announced that its latest fighting title THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV has joined Evolution Championship Series (EVO) 2022. EVO is the largest fighting game tournament in the world and with EVO 2022 coming back this year in an offline capacity with its event taking place in its iconic home in Las Vegas, this is the perfect time for THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV to join its roster.
EVO 2022 is taking place on August 5-7, 2022, at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, and THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV will feature during the tournament alongside eight other iconic fighting games. Chief Producer Yasuyuki Oda at SNK commented:

We’ve had great success with the game since its launch last month and can’t wait to let the game shine in the largest and longest-running fighting game tournament in the world! Registrations are now open, and fans can purchase tickets right now at evo.gg. Hotel Rooms will be available at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. For fans who simply want to watch the tournament from their homes instead, all matches will be streamed live for the entirety of the event as well across EVO social media accounts.
THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV is the latest title by SNK in the long-running fighting franchise which first made its debut back in 1994. Since then, the title has come a long way and has made quite a large following. THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV arrives after a six-year-long gap since the last mainstream release in the franchise and surpasses the previous titles in terms of everything.
