SNK Corporation has officially revealed the long-awaited The King of Fighters XV as well as season 3 of Samurai Shodown with new trailers. Both announcements received separate announcements and hence separate trailers as well. Fans of the franchise will be happy to know that The King of Fighters XV is launching later this year which means that we do not have to wait too long for the game to release.
The game’s first official trailer has finally arrived showcasing the new title just in time for the announcement. The very first title in the franchise was released back in 1994 and since then, the game took the fighting scene by storm as it brought a unique and distinctive fighting style to players around the world. Along with the release of the reveal trailer of The King of Fighters XV, the developer also revealed details on the upcoming season 3 of Samurai Shodown. Season 3 will arrive mid-March 2021 and will feature CHAM CHAM from Samurai Shodown II. This is one of the most popular characters from the previous game and is now making her debut in the third iteration of the title. Apart from her, THE LAST BLADE 2’s HIBIKI TAKANE will also join the roster of the game as part of Season 3 however additional details will be revealed at a later stage.
Two additional fighters will also be revealed at a later stage.

Samurai Shodown will also add the ability to use Guard Crush for the very first time in season 3 this March. Apart from this new mechanic, players can also expect many different carefully engineered balances and improvements to the battle systems in a new update accompanying season 3 of the game.
