The Last Faith Combines Metroidvania and Soulslike into One Exciting Package

Publisher Playstack has announced that it will be taking the charge to publish the upcoming unholy alliance of Metroidvania and Soulslike The Last Faith. The Last Faith started its journey as a Kickstarter title back in 2020 however after shattering its original goal with a massive 466% funding, The Last Faith is now in the final phase of its development and will release later this year. The developer behind The Last Faith is Kumi Souls Games who is an indie developer and this is their first title.

The Last Faith features pixel art visuals depicting a scary gothic landscape along with huge monstrosities hiding in shadows everywhere you go in the game. You will experience brutal but empowering gameplay and the game also earns its ‘soulslike’ moniker as it fuses a unique mix of Metroidvania and soulslike elements into one strong experience. The last Faith also offers nonlinear exploration where you will find a huge range of tools for destruction.

You will traverse snow-dusted mountains, deep dark forests, crypts, and cities bathed in moonlight. Everything in the game has been painstakingly hand-drawn by artists who have worked really hard to bring the imagination of thousands of fans on Kickstarter. The Last Faith will be a tough title however it comes with its own set of challenges that are difficult to overcome but empowering in the end. You will have a huge of custom executions to perform on your enemies’ using tons of melee weapons, arcane spells, long-range firearms, and more.

You step into the ravaged world of The Last Faith as Eric who awakes with no recollection of his immediate past. Soon after waking up, he discovers that time is not on his side as his mind and conscience are deteriorating right in front of him. To stop this, Eric embarks on a cursed mission that crosses paths with ancient religions and divinities. Commenting on The Last Faith, Playstack Chief Executive Harvey Elliot said:

The Last Faith is slated for release on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch later this year. A Steam page for the game is now live and you can add the game to your wishlist if you are looking forward to playing the game when it comes out.
