The Last of Us Part 2 Final Scene Shoot Complete, No Release Date in Sight

The Last of Us: Part 2 Sales

Naughty Dog has revealed that the final scene of the highly-anticipated The Last of Us Part 2 has been shot and the motion capture scenes are now complete. To announce this wonderful news, the Vice President of Naughty Dog, Neil Druckmann shared a picture on Twitter which showed the game’s script and it was the last sentence ‘The End’ on it and caption detailing that it has been shot.

We have been getting all sorts for rumors and speculations for some time about The Last of Us Part 2 with the latest one telling us that the title is going to be a PS5 exclusive game. If we remember the last title in the franchise, it was initially released on PS3 and then a remastered version was later released for PS4 as well because most of the players had switched to the latest console and sold the original one.

With Neil showing that The Last of Us Part 2 has completed a major milestone in its development, we can be sure that Naughty Dog is going to follow the same criteria with the second game as well. The game will be released on PS4 but a more beefed up version will later release on PS5 because Sony has revealed the initial specs of the console and it might arrive as soon as 2020.

If we take Neil’s tweet into account, we can be sure that The Last of Us Part 2 will arrive on PS4 at the end of this year. You can check out Neil’s recent tweets below.

The game is already listed in PS4’s coming soon section. Other titles in this list at this point are confirmed releases for 2019 so it makes it even more interesting. Sony recently shared some initial information about PS5 as well and there are rumors that claim PS5 will release in 2020 so it makes perfect sense for Naughty Dog to release The Last of Us Part 2 on PS4 this year and then bring it on PS5 next year.
