Despite All the Criticism, The Last of Us: Part 2 Secures the Top Spot in Sales

The Last of Us: Part 2 Sales

Naughty Dog released its highly anticipated sequel The Last of Us: Part 2 last weekend and it seems like even with all the negative criticism and review-bombing, The Last of Us: Part 2 is the highest-selling PS4 game on its launch weekend. The Last of Us: Part 2 has not only beaten Uncharted 4 for its own launch weekend sales but has also managed to beat Nintendo’s amazing good Animal Crossing: New Horizons as well.

The data reflects only the physical discs sold in the UK and there is a huge chance that most of the people went for digital buying as well. Even with so much digital sales happening around the UK at this point, people still bought The Last of Us: {art 2 physically and the game managed to beat Uncharted 4 and Animal Crossing: New Horizons which were considered as the highest sellers during their launch weekends on PS4 and Nintendo Switch previously.

This was reported by GameINdustry.biz who also shared the details of other top titles sold in the previous week in the UK. With The Last of Us: Part 2 sitting at the top spot, the second spot was occupied by Ring Fit Adventure and the third spot by FIFA 20. Coming back into the top 10 was Pokemon Sword which is natural since the game received its very fist expansion. The rest of the list remained pretty much the same with 51 Worldwide Games pushing in the list as well.
