The Creator of Chernobyl, Craig Mazin, is teaming up with HBO once again along with The Last of Us creative director Neil Druckmann to release a TV series based on the critically acclaimed PlayStation title The Last of Us. The TV series will release exclusively on HBO and both Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann will work together to bring together their talents.
The executive producers of the TV series will be Carolyn Strauss along with Evan Wells who is the president of Naughty Dog. The TV series is the first project of PlayStation Productions together with Sony Pictures Television. This was first reported by Hollywood Reporter who detailed the TV series and the senior management who is planning to take the helm of the show.
Naughty Dog and the team is currently busy finishing up the upcoming highly anticipated The Last of Us – Part II which is the second installment in the franchise. The first title The Last of Us was released back in 2013 on PS3 and later a remastered version made its way to PS4. Now the second part in the franchise is slated for a release on May 29, 2020.

According to Hollywood Reporter, the TV series will cover the complete events of the first game and additional content might be added to the series based on the upcoming sequel The Last of Us – Part II. The Last of Us is one of the most successful franchises in PlayStation’s history so the show has a huge reputation to uphold.
