The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon Side Quests Guide will show you how to complete the side quests that are separate from the main quests in the DLC. Both the side quests of the DLC reward you with weapons and armor that you can equip on your main character.
One of the side quests rewards you with The P.E.T, the Wall of Swords, and the Wilderness Ops Armor. This guide will show you how to complete the side quests and how to get the rewards.
The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon Side Quests Guide
Below we have detailed both the side quests of the DLC and how to complete them.
Side Quest #1 – The Electric Fling
This side quest is given to you by Roscoe Clanton who can be found on the 2nd floor of the Sprat Shack in Gorgon. Talking to him will begin this side quest which first requires you to collect four Phonographs from different locations. Each location requires you to unlock the area and collect the Phonograph.
The first Phonograph can be found at the HIA Observation Room B, which requires the HIA passkey to access the room. You can get the passkey by completing A Clockwork Mock Apple main quest. The second Phonograph is at the Chem Lab Storage Room, which requires its own passcode to enter. To get the passcode for the Chem Lab Storage Room, you have to complete The Man in High Orbit Mission.
The third Phonograph can be found in the OCI Projector Room, which requires the Preserved Eye item, obtained in The Ones Who Walk Away from Gorgon main quest. Lastly, the final Phonograph is found on the easter part of the Gorgon map.
When you have all the four Phonographs, you have a choice of delivering it to two characters. This depends on what item you want as a reward. If you deliver the Phonographs to Roscoe Clanton, you will get the Wall of Swords weapon. On the other hand, if you give the Phonographs to NTVUR, you will get the Wilderness Ops Armor.
Side Quest #2 – The Dialog Between Dead Men
To get the quest in the first place, you have to look for the hideout right at the center of Gorgon Canyon. The quest will begin with you having to find four issues of The Exhilarating Adventures of Archibald Excelsior.
The locations of each issue are:
- Issue 1: Waste Processing Ravine
- Issue 2: Gorgon Mine
- Issue 3: HIA Maintenance
- Issue 4: Synthesis and Manufacture Observatory
When you have all the four issues of The Exhilarating Adventures of Archibald Excelsior, head back to the Hideout and complete the quiz that follows after you interact with the door. You need to answer it correctly with the following answers:
- Answer 1: Sissak Sassafras
- Answer 2: The Skull
- Answer 3: Tricking Archibald
- Answer 4: With a Bolt of Lightning
Following the quiz, you can then enter the room and get The P.E.T. weapon from inside.
