Independent game development studio Red Barrels has announced the closed beta date for The Outlast Trials during the Gamescom 2022 Opening Night Live. The Outlast Trials closed beta will take place from October 28th to November 1st, 2022, and will allow players to jump into the game and try out a small slice of the title. The Outlast Trials is set in the height of the Cold War era, and it allows players to take on the role of test subjects abducted by the shadowy Murkoff Corporation. You are imprisoned in a distant and secret Murkoff Corporation where you go through a series of physical and mental ordeals. During these, you will be tormented by iconic characters of the franchise and challenged alone or in teams as you try to keep your sanity in place and survive.

Commenting on the new trailer, David Chateauneuf, Red Barrels co-founder and designer said:

Last year, we debuted the first gameplay trailer for The Outlast Trials at Opening Night Live, and were overwhelmed by the positive reception. So it’s fantastic to be back again this year, and be able to provide a date for when test subjects… sorry, I mean fans, can enter the Closed Beta trials.

The Outlast Trials Closed Beta

The Outlast Trials is currently in development at Red Barrels and additional details about the game will be revealed at a later date. The Closed Beta for The Outlast Trials will be held later this year and if you are interested in playing the game, you can head over to the official website of the game right now and apply for it. The developer will notify all chosen players near the date of the Closed Beta. You can also add the game to your Steam and Epic Games Store wishlist if you want to keep a track of all upcoming updates about the game. At this point, additional platforms and a release window is not known.
