Based on critical decisions made at key locations in the main story of The Quarry, you can unlock various endings and if you want to unlock all of the endings, you will need to replay the game while making different choices at these key locations.
Endings Guide – The Quarry
We have curated this simple and to-the-point guide that details what choices you need to make if you want to unlock a specific ending in The Quarry. Based on your choices, there are five endings that you can unlock in the game including the most sought-after ‘Happy’ and ‘Bad’ endings. Let’s start with the basic requirement of what you need to do in order to unlock any of the endings in the game.
Above the Law Achievement Unlock
For unlocking the main ending of the title, it is vital that you aim for the Above the Law Achievement which is a pre-requisite of going through with the final ending choices. These choices are made in the earlier chapters of the game including Chapter 3, Chapter 7 and Chapter 9. These crucial decisions determine how your story will proceed in the ending. These choices allow you to gain Travis’ trust so he can share important details about Silas with you which is necessary for the main ending of the game.
Following the choices detailed in the table below will allow you to gain the knowledge that Chris was the first Hackett to be bitten and it was actually Caleb and Kaylee who got bitten first when they were trying to free Silas six years ago. It is important that you get Laura and Travis to work together, and you can do so by making the following critical decisions:

With all of these choices in place, you are now all set for following up the Silas ending, and you can move forward to three possible outcomes for the ending. These are:
- Ending 1: Laura Kills Silas and the mystery is solved
- Ending 2: Laura hesitates and kills Travis and Silas however the mystery is still solved
- Ending 3: Laura backs out to kill Silas and the mystery is not solved
The endings depend on your choices in Chapter 10. You can follow the following steps in order to unlock your desired ending:

Failing the QTE will alert Silas who will kill Travis and you will then get the chance to kill Silas. Caleb will transform to human form, but he will die in the freezer |

If you succeed at the QTE, Travis will fall at the ground and alert Silas who will kill Travis and the second person who did not get the blood vial. In this scenario, Caleb will remain fine in the freezer while either Ryan or Laura will survive depending on who took the blood vial. |
Kill all of the Hacketts Without Solving the Mystery Ending
For this ending, you will follow some specific choices during Chapter 9 of the game. Before that, you must take the advice of Elisa who is the fortune teller and you must help her kill the Hacketts in order to save her son, Silas. Play the game with the choice options detailed above however the following key choices will be changed during Chapter 9.

| Ryan refuses to be bitten | When given the choice, refuse to get bitten | |
| Ryan Shoots Chris | During your fight with Chris, Bobby will die because of the knife wound and Ryan can shoot Chris in order to kill him | |
| Shoot Travis | Ryan will die of blood loss and drop the shotgun and while fighting for it, win the QTE to shoot Travis and kill him |
Once you make these choices, Laura will then flee to the island in Max’s search. After Elsa’s scene, Kaitlyn’s final fight with Chris will happen during which you must survive the chase and later kill him. Since Silas is now out of the scene, you can shoot Chris using the silver shells that you picked back in Chapter 9. They are located near the fuse box in Chapter 9. In Chapter 10, you must go and investigate the noise at the end of the fight where Abi and Emma will throw the shells which Kaitlyn can use to kill Caleb using the shotgun. Complete this and you will move to the final epilogue.
Laura is Captured and the Mystery is Not Solved
To unlock this ending, you must follow the same steps detailed in the table above. The only difference is that at the end of the scene where previously you shot Travis, this time around, you do not shoot Travis by losing the QTE during Laura’s and Travis’ tussle for the shotgun after Ryan is dead. This will make Travis take the shotgun and he will take Laura hostage. Laura will be placed inside a cell, and this will conclude the story. Complete Kaitlyn’s showdown and you will see the epilogue with Laura trapped inside the cage.
