Devil’s Reef Hotel

When you begin the Lost At Sea case, you will get two important things which are The Lost Expedition and The Key to the Headquarters. Take the exit from the Oakmont city Pot and you will go to Devil’s Reef Hotel in Coverside.

In the room that Reed has rented, you can find a lot of things to investigate. The first thing is the badge that is lying on the table. Next to eh mirror is the photo of sailors that you can check out. Right next to the mirror is Reed’s Diary that you can open to read the first log entry My Diary, Part One.

You can then go to the wardrobe and change your outfit. Finally, you can find a crumpled letter on the wall, and when you leave the room, you will find a note from J. van der Berg.

In the same hotel, you explore the other rooms as well. In these rooms, you will find 3 random containers of loot, Notes about nightmares, a note from the owner, and Map with marked key points.

Head down to the ground floor of the hotel where you can talk to the hotel owner complaining about the noise. This will open a side mission called Letters from Oakmont. The ground floor of the hotel contains a few items that you can collect. There is a note About the Hobo Signs, a chest with some loot, and a note titled A Note To My Dear Nephew.

Headquarters

You now have to go to the headquarters and the location of the headquarters can be found in the description of the Missing Expedition evidence. Go to the northern part of Coverside, where you will come to an intersection of Hubert Avenue and Asher Road. This area is close to the Oakmont Police Department. Use any boat to get to the other side where the Expedition Headquarters is.

Use the key to enter the headquarters and start your investigation. At the entrance, look at the shoe print that shows that the door was kicked open. You can take a book about diving here as well. Look at the papers on the floor and the knocked over red object.

There is a suitcase here that contains some random loot. Now go to the upper floor and find the newspaper. You can also examine the stone on the upper floor, as indicated by the eye icon. The last thing on the upper floor is the Fishermen Reports.

Head up to the top floor where you can find the map of Cape Cod. You will also find 2 boxes here containing some loot. On the upper floor find the How to Protect note that is on the desk. You can also look at the shells in a wooden box.

Lastly, find the illusion on the ground floor by the stairs and the red anchor. You must turn on the Mind’s Eye and once all the symbols align, the wall will disappear.

There is also a secret area here when you enter the basement. There is one enemy with a weapon that you have to be aware of. Once you have dealt with that, continue exploring and you will find a partially burned cargo manifest.

Inspect the helmet that has a cracked visor, and then search the chest containing loot. Once you are done in the basement, you need to go back upstairs and use your retrocognition to visit all the marked places. The correct sequence of events is that the door was kicked in, and the main room was plundered. The passage to the basement and then the documents were burned in the basement.

Your investigation will bring you to the conclusion that a lot of people broke into the building to plunder and set fire to the documents. Open your Mind Palace and connect the Cargo Manifest to Burned Documents where the Burned Newspapers will be deduced. This will complete the whole area 100%

Oakmont Archives

This part is where you have to determine which ship did the expedition members belonged to when they used it to go to the sea. First, you need to find an advertisement for the ship for rent. Go to the Oakmont chronicle headquarters which is located on the west side of Coverside.

Once you get here, you need to talk to Helen Bland who will recognize you. Agree for an interview and then follow up by going to the archive of the local newspaper in the building. Interact with it and select the correct piece of evidence for analysis and then determine the three correct search criteria.

To solve the puzzle, you have to select Burned Newspapers as a document, and then select Section, Then Advertisements. From there you need to select the District and then Grimhaven Bay. Lastly, select Period and then After the Flood.

Now you need to go on board the ship to find more tracks. Here you will find Alcohol on the table and a Time-Charter Contract in the cabin of the ship. Look around for a map of Cape Cod and the artifact that is lying on the table. Look at the head of the artifact.

Now you have to leave the deck and go to the blue area or retrocognition. Discover these areas in the correct sequence by first examining the quarrel on the board ship, then the fight with happened with the axes on the pier and the man who was shot at the pier.

You will conclude this part of the investigation by understanding that the crew of the ship went crazy, but one of the members managed to escape.  Go back to the man at the booth and let him know that the pier is safe. He will tell you about Sanders who has escaped

Sanders

Now that you know that a member had managed to escape, you have to go look for this man named Sanders. Open the Mind Palace and connect the clues of The Wounded Soldier and Sanders has fled, which will unlock the Wounded Sanders deduction.

Now you can go look for Sanders who can be found at the Hospital of St. Mary in Coverside. Once you are at the hospital, talk to Dr. Grant a the front desk. You can do two quick activities here by participating in an experimental therapy, or by starting the Field Research side investigation. Ask the doctor about patients with an axe wound.

Now go to the archive room and solve the puzzle. The document for analysis is Wounded sanders. Then select Subjects and then Patients. Select Period as After the Flood. Finally select Department and then Surgery.

The document will show Joseph Willow as the person of interest. Go to Hospital level 3 and talk to captain Sanders. Ask him all questions and then you will unlock Captain Sanders’ Evidence and the Diving Suit Factory Location.

Open your Mind Palace and connect the clues The Crazy Crew and The Wounded Sailor. This will deduce The Titania Incident.

The second thing you need to do before diving is to get the diving gear. Analyze the latest evidence to find the Diving Suit Factory which is located at Grimhaven Bay. Get to the factory with a boat and dock next to it. You will find small enemies here inside the factor.

Before entering the factory, you can find ammunition and materials for crafting. There are 4 boxes containing minor loot and two unusable suits. The Diving Suit is found in the office upstairs and it can be used for diving. You also get a Harpoon and a Flare Gun here which will complete this area.

Diving Site

You now have to go back to Pier N3 which will have a boat to Devil’s Teeth. Interact with the boat and you will be taken to Devil’s Teeth. Follow the patch and you will reach a place where you can hook and dive.

Once you reach the bottom, you have to move from one lamp to the other. On your way here, you need to inspect the stone and grooves. Reach the edge and jump to the lower part of the bottom. There is a weapon here that you need to puck up and activate the Mind’s Eye to see the past.

A monster with large tentacles will attack you, use the Harpoon gun to attack and wound the creature. Head towards the light and this will take you to the entrance of the underwater cave. Remove the suit and explore it.

Now you have to talk to the sailor at the altar. Open your Palace mind and connect the clues. Select mad scientists and then Madness emanates from the scientists. The game will show you two options, Save or Abandon the Survivors.

Now connect the Mad scientists and Albert’s saviors to unlock the Madness on the Titania deduction, and then discover the new deduction marked with the question marks Albert was the source of this madness.

Stay near the altar and examine it with the Mind’s Eye. You will see a woman holding the artifact. Now go to the blue cloud interactive points. The correct sequence of the events is preparation for the ambush, then taking the seal from the altar, and finally the fight and escape with the stolen artifact.

Go Back to Throgmorton

Now you will be moved back to Devil’s Reef Hotel. you can unlock the second log entry in My Diary, Part Two. Go to Throgmorton Manor in the south end of Oldgrove District.
