Gato Studio has announced that it is bringing its upcoming open-world Celtic RPG The Waylanders to GOG Games in Development Program. The Waylanders will arrive in the program on July 27, 2020, and will be priced at $34.99 for the duration of the inclusion on the said program. The game will release with a 10% discount on the platform as well.
If you have been missing out on The Waylanders, it is a party-based adventure RPG that allows you to explore Celtic and Medieval featuring mythology from Spain and surrounding areas. The game comes with a real-time combat system with an added pause mechanic which is known as tactical pause where you can set up your party to combine into offensive formations for deep combat tactics.
The full game will feature six basic classes, 30 advanced classes, and 9 companion characters to battle beside and romance. The game also allows custom RPG playstyles opening up a vast world for you to explore at your pace and style. During its stay in the GOG Games in Development Program, the game will have nearly 10 to 12 hours of gameplay of the full game’s 30 to 40-hour campaign. It will focus entirely on the opening Celtic Age portion of the main story of the game. You will get 8 unique locations, over 40 maps, and 9 companions to travel alongside you.
During its development phase, the game will only feature the English language however additional languages Spanish, Galician, French, German, Simplified Chinese, and Russian will arrive as later updates along with more content.
