Developer and publisher 3R GAMES has announced the release of Update 7 for its VR game Thief Simulator VR: Greenview Street. The latest update is part of the developer’s plan to add new content to the game and since the game’s launch in July, the game has received 7 updates, out of which the first 5 were mostly game fixes and the final two updates added new content to the game. The latest Update 7 is called Gran Thief Update and it brings new features, additional content, and updates to the title for free.
Check out the latest trailer for Thief Simulator VR: Greenview Street to see the new update 7 in action:
The latest update builds upon the previous update where car disassembly was introduced to the game and adds a brand-new Junkyard area to the game. At the Junkyard, players can sell disassembled car parts and also customize their own car according to their liking. Players will also find a brand-new car in the disassembling mini-game along with a trampoline which will allow players to jump to first-floor windows in order to gain access to the buildings from a new perspective.
The seventh update also brings a major graphics overhaul to the game as players can now see a clear difference between daytime and nighttime along with improved shaders. A new 3D sound system is also part of the update which will help players do a better recon of nearby NPCs which will further improve the stealth aspect of the game. The update also includes many quality-of-life improvements including one that improves scanning NPCs routines that will allow players to sneak around more accurately and it will reduce the chances of them getting seen. The update also brings balance to the Hacking feature.
One of the most demanded features was players asking for multiple profiles on the same device and the latest update allows players to create multiple profiles on the same device. Now every player in the same household can create their own profile and enjoy the game with their own accounts without ruining the saved files of anyone else. Cloud saves are also live for the game now. 3R GAMES is also working on additional updates for Thief Simulator VR: Greenview Street which will arrive at a later date with additional content including new areas and unique content for players on the Quest 2 version of the game.
Thief Simulator VR: Greenview Street is currently available on the Meta Store.
