Torchlight: Infinite is getting its first major update of 2023 and developer XD Games has revealed the brand-new hero Erika coming to the game. Erika will join the current roster of Torchlight: Infinite when the new season called Blacksail goes live on January 12, 2023. XD Games has also announced that two fan-favorite heroes Rehan and Moto are also getting Hero Traits which will allow players even more creative playstyles.

XD Games is also giving all players who pre-register before the launch of the second season of Torchlight: Infinite a free bundle of in-game rewards. Called Blacksail, players will get to embark on a swashbuckling quest into the endless Sea of Void as they try to take on the imposing king of pirates called the Lord of the Void Sea. Apart from new ways to customize and hone your character builds with the addition of new gear to loot, players will also get the opportunity of adding the Hero Relic item loadout slot.
The new hero Erika is a Stalker and hails from the Ichi Tribe. She is equipped with dual blades and her first Hero Trait is called Wind Stalker which specializes in rapid movement. This allows her to swiftly weave between enemies before she delivers a devastating killing blow. The developer has showcased her gameplay in a new video as well which you can check out below:
As previously detailed, Rehan and Moto are also getting brand-new Hero Traits. Rehan is getting Raging Phantom while Moto is getting the Hero Trait called Charge Calling. The Raging Phantom for Rehan allows him to inflict massive damage on the enemies. This allows Rehan to attack enemies with his primary skills and annihilate enemies automatically. On the other hand, with Charge Calling, Moto is able to summon his platoon of Synthetic Troops and send them to his enemies before exploding them into a huge fireball. XD Games has also detailed its new community event called First Down.
With First Down, XD Games can pit streamers against each other as they attempt to reach Timemark 6 and defeat the Traveller boss as fast as possible. This is an interactive contest, and it will allow fans of the streamers’ to win different rewards based on the rank of the streamer they back during this contest. To support a streamer and win rewards, all you need to do is enter their dedicated code in Torchlight: Infinite’s redeem menu page. If the streamer is high enough in his rank, all supporters will receive 50 Primocrysts as a welcome gift and once the event concludes, all valid participants will win rewards based on the chosen streamer’s final placement.
