One of the tasks in The Broken Slate quest in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is to find the Toto Lake. This quest is part of the Sidon of the Zora questline which will then take you to the Water Temple. How to Find the Toto Lake in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
In The Broken Slate quest, Sidon will tell you about the Toto Lake, while he will be purifying the water, resulting in him staying back and sending Link. The Toto Lake is all the east on the map, sitting right in between the regions of Akkala and Lanayru.
The lake sits south of the South Lake Akkala, trickling down into the mountainous region surrounding the Toto Lake.
At the Toto Lake, you will first need to talk to Jiahto, who can be found in the small cavern. He will tell you about his broken slate and how he requires it to read properly again.
To get the slate, head outside of the cave and then go to the left of the cave entrance where you will find the slate buried in mud. To clear the slate from the mud, you need to use a Splash Fruit. This will let you clear the mud to free the Slate, which you can then pick up using your Ultrahand ability.
All that is left now is to place the slate in the slot, complete the quest, and start the next quest where you will have to find King Dorephan.
