If you are a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber, then your day just got better because Nintendo has revealed two new NES games coming to Switch Online’s exclusive NES library in August. The new titles coming to Switch Online include Vice: Project Doom and Kung Fu Heroes. Both titles will be added to the NES section of Nintendo Switch Online App later this month further adding value to Nintendo’s premium online service.
Looking at the titles, the first game in question is Vice: Project Doom which combines numerous mechanics together to deliver a solid title. It was released back in 1991 and it was a solid title. Earlier we have seen most of Nintendo’s own exclusive titles to arrive in the service but it seems like that we are getting some more titles in the service such as Vice: Project Doom.
The game features both side-scrolling and top-down linear action and looks like a decent addition to the library. You can check out the short trailer released by Nintendo detailing both games below to get a small taste of what to expect from both titles.
The second game to arrive this month is Kung Fu Heroes which looks like a decent co-op game. I’ve never played this game before however the trailer shows it as a decent little co-op title that could be fun when playing with another friend. The gameplay mechanics look simple and the core formula is beating the baddies to clear the level and move on to the next.
Kung-Fu Heroes actually dates back to 1988 and the age is evident in the visual art style of the game. Though I can’t see any use of Kung-Fun in the gameplay, there certainly is a lot of punching in the game. The enemy characters are also the same character wearing different color clothes.
Both titles will be added to Nintendo Switch Online on August 21, 2019. Which NES game are you looking forward to playing this month with your Nintendo Switch Online subscription? Let us know in the comments section below.
