SNK Corporation has announced that Ukyo Tachibana from their fighting game Samurai Shodown will be joining the roster of AFK Arena. The crossover arrives in celebration of Lilith Games’ AFK Arena’s one-year anniversary campaign. The collaboration will see Ukyo Tachibana join AFK Arena as a brand new hero for its one-year anniversary.
At the start of the celebrations, Ukyo will be free to play for seven days however after that, players interested in keeping him in the roster will need to purchase him to keep him in the game forever. Since he is joining the game as a brand new hero for AFK Arena, players will need to purchase him to permanently add him to their character roster. Ukyo hails from the weapon-based fighting world of Samurai Shodown and is a prominent fighter among the fans of the franchise.

Developed and published by Lilith Games, AFK Arena is currently running its one-year anniversary campaign during which the game has plenty of action going on. Players who log in the game while the event is active will receive a ‘One Year Anniversary’ player frame along with one free Elite hero out of a choice of 5. A new boss battle ‘The Soul Reaver’ is also live in the game for the entirety of this event. A limited-timed event ‘Verdant Valley’ is also part of the celebrations.
