For Honor players playing the game on Xbox Live this weekend will be glad to know that they can unlock a new faction for free this weekend. Simply playing For Honor on an Xbox Live Gold account will give you access to the expansion heroes for free.
The Wi Lin Faction is free and it comes with four heroes. The condition is that you must be an active subscriber of Xbox Live Gold to get this for free. Owning the game on a normal account will not give you it for free.
The Wi Lin Faction contains Tiandi, the Nuxia, the Shaolin and the Jiang Jun as new heroes for you to play in For Honor. However, you must know that this is just a trial period. If you like the new heroes after playing them, you must purchase the Marching Fire expansion to continue playing with them.
If you really want to purchase the expansion that you will be glad to know that during the trial period, Ubisoft is selling the expansion pack at a flat 50% discount. This is the perfect time to try out the expansion heroes and purchase them for future use if you like them.

For Honor was released back in and it had a choppy start. Despite packing solid graphics and gameplay, the game suffered from numerous bugs and problems at launch. Ubisoft worked a lot on the game ever since it was released and fixed it later.
At this point, For Honor offers a solid online experience and it is definitely a great game to this date. It does not feel dated at all after all these years. If you manage to get hold of the game’s brilliant combat system, nothing is more entertaining than slicing your enemies in pieces in For Honor.
For Honor is available on PC, Xbox One and PS4. The Hero Trial is active until February 12.
