Publisher Level Infinite and developer Hotta Studio have announced the new Vera Expansion for Tower of Fantasy at Gamescom 2022. Tower of Fantasy is Hotta Studio’s new open-world MMORPG, and the new Vera will be a free expansion for the game slated to arrive this fall. The published showcased the new Vera update in an exclusive trailer that is linked below for you:
The trailer does not show too much at this point and it is more of a sneak peek of what we can expect in the new expansion however we do see plenty of new features that will be part of the expansion. It will feature new boss fights, new quests, and new mounts for you to acquire. It will also introduce a new cyberpunk-themed area to the game called Vera which will bring new environments, mounts, monsters, weapons, and more. The main area of Vera is called Desert Goby and it is an irradiated wilderness within the cyberpunk hub of Mirroria found in the heart of this desert.
Players will be able to find new instances, raids, and legendary bosses that they will be able to fight head-on with their friends or crews. These new missions and fights also bring new progression rewards and events with them. Coming to the lore of Vera, it was under the jurisdiction of The Seventh District of Helgaard before the Cataclysm however it lost contact with the main Plane after the Cataclysm. Most of Vera is the desert Gobby and it is making the overall climate dry and hot.
The local Vera Phantom Tower has failed after the Cataclysm and its space-time dimension cannot be calibrated on the main Plane, nor can it obtain a stable supply of original energy. The energy radiation levels are gradually decreasing in Vera however some areas are still heavily polluted, and people live in Mirroria. Other parts of the Gobby desert are suitable for human activities however no one can live there for a long time.

Tower of Fantasy has managed to reach the major milestone of over 10 million installs as revealed by Level Infinite. The game was debuting at the top spot of the App Store Free Games list in over 36 countries and regions.
