Verdugo is a boss that you will encounter in the Underground Laboratory section of the Castle’s Depths in Resident Evil 4. It is a boss that you can either fight or run away from as you try to navigate through the hallways of the laboratory. How to Easily Beat Verdugo Boss in Resident Evil 4
You will realize about Verdugo when you reach the Underground Laboratory section of the Castle’s Depths, going around the winding hallways of the lab. At this point, the game will show you that Leon is being stalked by the boss from the vents above, and you will eventually have to face it.
During this small exploration phase, you will also find four different gas tanks. These tanks are filled with liquid canisters and are one of the two things you need to beat the boss completely. The second item you need is to have the Rocket Launcher in your inventory. With these two items, you can quickly beat Verdugo and continue on in the story.
Verdugo will appear for the fight after the short cutscene that will show Verdugo stalking Leon. The boss will primarily use its claws and tail to hit you with different moves and patterns. There are two strike attacks Verdugo will hit you with, either with his Claw or with its Tail. Both these attacks can be avoided with your knife.
The second attack is a flurry of three quick tail strike attacks that you need to parry if you want to avoid it completely. In addition, Verdugo will lean back and then lunge at you. This attack can be dodged to be avoided completely.
How to Easily Beat Verdugo
To easily beat this boss, you need to have a Rocket Launcher and then lure the boss toward one of the liquid nitrogen tanks. Interacting with a tank will cause the gas to leak outwards and will freeze the boss in one place for a short period.
Using the rocket launcher at the boss’ frozen body will instantly smash it into pieces, resulting in an instant death to Verdugo.
