Volcanoids Gears Up for a Major Combat Update with New Guns, Gear, Enemies, and More

Volcanoids Combat Update

Developer Volcanoid has announced that its steampunk shooter survival game Volcanoids is getting a major Early Access combat update next month. This is one of the biggest updates for the game and it will bring new challenges and gear for the players as they tackle the volcano challenge and the mysterious robots defending it.

The new update includes new weapons such as new guns and gear such as the SMG, Sniper Rifle, and armor. New robots with a greater variety of weapons will now challenge you in combat as well and you can also add new turret add-ons on your drillships to protect them against enemy attacks. A special beta branch is now live on Steam where players looking to try out the new update can do so. Feedback is also encouraged by the developer as it will help them make the update even better for the full release next month.

Check out the trailer for the game below:

Volcanoids is officially described as:

Volcanoids sets players on an expedition to a forsaken island racked by mysterious volcanic eruptions triggered by mechanical beings. In order to survive the island’s natural elements, players must commandeer and upgrade a drillship to dive below eruptions that make the surface uninhabitable for periods of time. By exploring the island, players can discover new blueprints for ship upgrades and equipment, resources to refine and build, and rare technologies that will turn the battle against the mechanical monstrosities. Discover the mystery behind the eruptions and reclaim the island as your home on your own, or tackle the challenge with two to four friends in multiplayer.

Ever since its release in early access on Steam, Volcanoids has received many updates. Back in May 2020, the game received its co-op gameplay update which allowed players to join in the fun playing together. Make sure that you check out our Early Access review of Volcanoids as well in which we explored the new co-op update released for the title. Volcanoids is still in Early Access so we can expect a lot more updates coming for the title in the coming days as well.
