Publisher Chucklefish and developer Robotality have officially released Wargroove 2, the much-anticipated sequel to their popular turn-based strategy game. Wargroove 2 is now available on PC via Steam and Xbox consoles along with Xbox Game Pass as well. Wargroove 2 is a turn-based strategy game where you must take control of your own army and use it to take out your enemies however you see fit.
Wargroove 2 takes you back to the fantasy world of Aurania, where a new threat looms on the horizon. A powerful and ambitious faction has unearthed forbidden relics that could wreak havoc if misused. You will need to lead a fresh cast of Commanders across battlefields, skies, and seas to stop this looming danger. The sequel promises to deliver an experience that caters to both newcomers and veterans, expanding on the beloved formula of its predecessor with new mechanics, units, and storylines.

Wargroove 2 introduces a revamped Groove system, which now allows you to supercharge their Commanders’ abilities, adding a new layer of depth and strategy to battles. This system is essential in navigating the game’s three new campaign arcs, each weaving into an intense and satisfying conclusion.
The game also introduces five new unit types, each with unique skills and capabilities, giving you more tactical options on the battlefield. In addition, units can now be leveled up by picking up special items, providing another strategic element to manage as you progress through the game. A new night mode further challenges you to adapt their tactics to different conditions.
For those who enjoy multiplayer experiences, Wargroove 2 supports both local and online play for up to four players. Whether battling against friends or teaming up in co-op mode, you can test their strategic prowess in various game modes, including the newly added Conquest, a roguelike mode designed to push even the most seasoned strategists to their limits.
If you are on the creative side, you will find much to enjoy with the enhanced map, campaign, and cutscene editors, offering more tools and options than ever before to craft their own unique adventures and scenarios. If your friends or family are on different platforms, the game also comes with crossplay support, allowing you on PC, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch to join forces or face off against each other seamlessly.
You will be taking part in battles while listening to a captivating soundtrack, composed by Dale North, known for his work on River City Girls 1 & 2 and RWBY Arrowfell. The music enhances the immersive experience, bringing the world of Wargroove 2 to life with proper battle music.
Wargroove 2 is now available for download on Xbox consoles, the Microsoft Store, and Game Pass. As of now, additional platforms have not been announced but previously Wargroove 2 was available on Nintendo Switch.
