After the critical success of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, its sequel, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3, is now officially in development. This was announced by developer Focus Entertainment, who is once again taking the reigns of the development while Saber Interactive and Games Workshop will be handling the publishing. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3 will be the latest installment in the iconic third-person action franchise set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Building on the success of Space Marine 2, this upcoming title promises to deliver an even more immersive experience with larger-scale battles and groundbreaking innovations.
The announcement comes as Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 continues to engage players with its intense, action-packed gameplay. John Bert, Deputy CEO of Focus Entertainment Publishing, expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic reception of the second installment, emphasizing the company’s commitment to expanding the universe with new content:
We are honored by the incredible response from fans following the launch of Space Marine 2. While we will continue to deliver exciting content and updates for years to come, we are thrilled to announce that the adventure will continue with Space Marine 3. Players can expect an immersive campaign, a multiplayer mode, and large-scale battles that will set new standards for the genre.

Matthew Karch, CEO of Saber Interactive, highlighted the significance of this new chapter for the company, describing Space Marine 2 as a transformative milestone:
It represents everything we’ve learned over our 25 years in game development. With Space Marine 3, we aim to take our experience and apply it to an even more ambitious project. This is an opportunity to create a true love letter to the Warhammer 40,000 universe while delivering a bigger, more spectacular game.
While details on Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3 remain limited, the developers confirmed that additional information will be revealed in the future. In the meantime, Space Marine 2 will continue to receive robust post-launch support, including an ambitious content roadmap. One of the most anticipated upcoming features is the Horde mode, which will expand the game’s multiplayer offerings and keep fans engaged as they await the next chapter.
The project is backed by PULLUP Entertainment Group, a major force in the video game and entertainment industry with over 600 employees across Europe and an annual revenue of €187 million in 2023/24. Focus Entertainment, a subsidiary of PULLUP, is known for publishing successful titles such as A Plague Tale, SnowRunner, and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. The group also includes Dotemu, a specialist in independent and retro gaming recognized for hits like TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge and Streets of Rage 4.
In addition to its publishing divisions, PULLUP Entertainment operates six development studios and one audiovisual structure. Key studios include Dovetail Games (Train Sim World), Deck13 (The Surge), and Blackmill Games (WW1 Game Series), among others. Scripteam, the audiovisual branch, focuses on adapting the company’s licenses into films and television series, further expanding their creative reach.
As of now, the developers have not revealed any additional information about Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3, and we certainly have no trailer at this point as the game is in its very early stages of development. With Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, the developers have really nailed the sequel and we hope that this consistency remains for the upcoming title as well.
