CEO and Co-Founder of PlayFusion Mark Gehard commented on the Nintendo Switch release by saying:

The response for the physical and digital game has already been incredible, and we just can’t wait to watch that grow to new heights. With the upcoming release of our Set 3 cards in Savagery, and a whole heap of new features like Arena of Echoes and Realm Trials, there’s always going to be something new to try. And now, there will be a much bigger community to try with.

The Nintendo Switch version is also launching with a brand-new single-player adventure called Realm Trials which offers dozens of hours of new content. Players will be able to fight in legendary battles to conquer the Mortal Realms. A new mode Arena of Echoes is also included in the new content for Nintendo Switch.

Players will be able to craft their own custom deck as they draft decks from two given alliances. This custom deck will then be used to battle and gain entry to the prize Gauntlet which is reached after winning a series of League rounds. Losing a match will cause players to drop back as their levels will be reduced after each defeat.

Nintendo Switch version of Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions will feature Ranked and Casual play along with multiple game modes, a robust series of narrative campaigns and seasonal leaderboards and challenges.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions is releasing on Nintendo Switch on April 16, 2019.
