Saber Interactive’s upcoming survival game World War Z is set to launch next week, and the game’s action-filled launch trailer was also released, giving a look at what is to come.

The trailer gives a brief glimpse of what is to be expected from the game. it provides a nice look at some of the game’s characters, plenty of exploding zombies, and the four locations; New York, Jerusalem Moscow, and Tokyo.

Powered by Saber’s dynamic Swarm Engine, World War Z unleashes hundreds of fast-moving, bloodthirsty zombies – able to move as one collective horde as well as break off as individuals units – at a time on players. Choose from six distinct classes and an arsenal of deadly weapons, explosives, turrets, and traps. Outlive the dead through intense four-player co-op campaign missions around the world, and battle both zombies and human opponents in competitive, team-based Players vs. Players vs. Zombies multiplayer.

The swarm feels neither fear nor mercy.  It rolls forward to spread and consume. Together, make your stand and unload an arsenal of deadly weaponry into these hundreds of swarming zombies. Feel the satisfying rush of life as you cheat death and prevail against such overwhelming odds. Cut the undead down with rocket launchers, machine guns, sentries, turrets, grenade launchers, barbed wire, and more.

The game will feature four-player co-op campaign missions that take place around the world in the cities mentioned above. You will take on AI zombies and human opponents as well as team-based PVP vs Zombies multiplayer modes.
