New WRC 9 Trailer Showcases Classic Rally Cars Featured in the Game

Review WRC 9 Next-Gen

The release of WRC 9 is right around the corner and the developer has released a brand new trailer showcasing the legendary classic rally cars featured in the game. Similar to previous WRC titles, WRC 9 will also feature a decent number of classic rally cars that you will be able to drive in the game when it comes out next week.

WRC 9 will feature a total of 15 classic rally cars that have been considered as rally icons in their respective times. All of these vehicles have left their mark in the history of WRC by winning the WRC’s drivers’ or manufacturer’s world titles at least one. Much of these cars belong to an era when driving was solely dependent on the driver’s skill rather than different aids in the vehicle and required skilled driving as they were not easy to handle as well.

WRC 9 will feature the following classic cars for you to drive in the game:

  • Lancia Stratos
  •  Lancia Fulvia HF
  •  VW Polo WRC 2016
  •  Lancia 037
  •  Porsche 911 GT3 RS RGT (997)
  •  Ford Escort MkII 1800
  •  Alpine A110 1973
  •  Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione
  •  Citroën Xsara WRC 2005
  •  Ford Focus 2007
  •  Toyota Corolla 1999
  •  Audi Quattro A2 1984
  •  Citroen C3 WRC 2019
  •  Proton Iriz R5

These are 14 classic cars with the 15th classic car to be unveiled and released for the game at a later stage. Check out the new trailer released to watch them all in action as well:

WRC 9 is the latest title in the long-running WRC franchise and it comes with a lot of new features this year. Last year’s WRC 8 featured an amazing new Career mode and major improvements overall to vehicle handling. This time around, WRC 9 is bringing:

  • 3 new rallies: Japan, New Zealand, Kenya
  • Over 50 official teams and their livery from the WRC, WRC 2, WRC 3 and Junior WRC
  • Over 15 bonus cars that have left their mark on the history of the WRC
  • Exclusive new game modes soon to be discovered

WRC 9 is slated for release on September 3, 2020, on PC via Epic Games Store and September 8, 2020, on Xbox One and PS4. The game will also arrive later on Xbox Series X, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.
