Crownless

Wuthering Waves Boss Battles Guide

Boss Location

The Crownless can be found in the Gorges of Spirits, which is located northwest of Jinzhou. If you look closely at that area on your map, you should spot a boss icon near the Stone Pile Plain. To reach the Crownless quickly, teleport to the waypoint at Stone Pile Plain. From there, head through the tunnel right before you, moving toward the northeast. When you come out at the other end of the tunnel, glide down to the arena where the Crownless boss is located. To start the fight, interact with the Resonance Cord, which is the gap in the ground.

How To Defeat The Crownless Boss

At the start of the battle, Crownless will leap out from the chasm and swoop down towards you. Be ready to move quickly and find cover. If you have a teammate who can attack from a distance, they should begin attacking Crownless as soon as it lands.

Initially, Crownless will use basic melee attacks against you. You need to be ready to dodge these attacks by moving behind Crownless, then counterattack, and dodge again. Soon, you will have the chance to counter Crownless’s special attacks. When you see Crownless preparing a powerful attack and two white circles appear, be prepared to strike at just the right moment. You should attack when the two white circles overlap to successfully counter and deal damage instead of getting hit.

Fortunately, the Crownless constantly predictably prepares their attacks. This makes it easier to win the boss fight if you wait patiently and focus on counterattacks. However, as long as the Crownless has its Vibration Strength active (shown as a white shield bar), you won’t be able to do much damage to its main health bar. Luckily, each successful counterattack significantly reduces the Vibration Strength bar. Once this bar is completely depleted, the Crownless will be immobilized.

This is your opportunity to inflict major damage. When the Vibration Strength bar is almost empty, make sure your team’s most powerful attacks are ready to use. The Crownless will eventually recover its Vibration Strength before you can fully deplete its health bar, but that’s okay. Continue attacking and countering as you did before, and the Crownless will be immobilized again. Repeat this process until you have defeated the Crownless boss in Wuthering Waves.

Tempest Memphis

Wuthering Waves Boss Battles Guide

Boss Location

Tempest Mephis, which should not be mixed up with the Thundering Mephis Boss, is located in the Central Plains. This area is north of the big city of Jinzhou and just a bit northwest of Qichi Village, a spot you will go to during the Wuthering Waves Ominous Star quest. To find Tempest Mephis, start by teleporting to the Resonance Nexus nearby. Instead of heading directly toward the boss icon on your map, glide down toward the southwest, where you will see a crater. Drop into this crater, and you will find Tempest Mephis waiting in a cave below.

Defeat Tempest Memphis

Tempest Mephis is a powerful boss with an Electro element, meaning it can resist Electro attacks better than other types. This boss moves very quickly and can dash through you while being almost invisible, so you’ll need to be prepared to dodge its attacks swiftly. After attacking, Tempest Mephis takes short breaks where it walks slowly across the battlefield without attacking. During these moments, try to move quickly toward Tempest Mephis and take advantage of its slower pace to launch your own attacks.

One attack from Tempest Mephis that you need to be especially careful of is its laser beam. When Tempest Mephis aims a big laser at you, it’s best to dodge to the side instead of moving away from it. The laser has a very long range but moves quite slowly.

To defeat Tempest Mephis, the simplest strategy is to avoid its regular attacks and wait for a good moment to strike back. Counterattacking at the right time will interrupt its attacks, make it stagger, and reduce a significant portion of its Vibration Strength bar. When you see Tempest Mephis beginning to charge an attack and two large white circles appear in front of it, this is your chance to counter. If you manage to hit Tempest Mephis when these two circles align, your counterattack will be successful.

When the Vibration Strength is completely reduced, it’s time for your team to use their most powerful attacks to bring down the boss’s HP bar. You will likely need to lower the Vibration Strength several times before you can finally defeat this Wuthering Waves Boss.

Thundering Memphis

Thundering Mephis in Wuthering Waves

Boss Location

The Thundering Mephis Boss is located at the center of the Withering Frontline, which is a large crater in the Desorock Highland. This spot is north of both the Central Plains and Jinzhou. Make sure not to mix it up with the Tempest Mephis Boss, as they are different. If you haven’t unlocked any waypoints, you can walk north from Jinzhou to get there. However, the quickest way to reach the Thundering Mephis is to use the Resonance Beacon. This is on the cliffs southwest of where the Boss is marked on the map. From the beacon, you can glide northeast to arrive at the Boss.

Defeat Thundering Memphis

When you start the Wuthering Waves Boss fight with Thundering Mephis, be aware that he will teleport towards you and launch an attack right away. Be prepared to dodge as soon as the fight begins. It’s crucial to keep an eye on Thundering Mephis, even when he’s far away. When he becomes translucent, get ready for a close-range attack.

Fortunately, Thundering Mephis often uses charged attacks right after teleporting, which gives you a chance to counter him. To defeat Thundering Mephis effectively, avoid his ranged attacks and wait for him to teleport. Be prepared to counter as soon as he appears. When he charges his attack, you will see two white circles. Attack him when these circles align to trigger a counterattack.

Thundering Mephis uses several ranged attacks during battle. When he ascends into the air slightly, be prepared for a small lightning beam aimed at you. Another move to watch for is when he stands stationary and lifts his weapon; this signals a lightning beam that travels along the ground. After these attacks, he typically pauses, taking a brief rest as he slowly moves around the battlefield without attacking. Use this opportunity to strike while he’s not actively fighting back.

Inferno Rider

Inferno Rider in Wuthering Waves

Boss Location

The Inferno Rider Boss can be found in the middle of the Sea of Flames, specifically located within the Port City of Guixu. This area is positioned southwest of Jinzhou and to the west of Tiger’s Maw Mine. For newcomers to the region, it is advisable to activate the Resonance Nexus first. Following this, proceed westward along the road. Along this route, you will encounter two Resonance Beacons before reaching the Inferno Rider arena.

It’s important to note that the Resonance Beacon nearest to the Inferno Rider Boss is situated on a high, damaged road. Access to this beacon is only possible if you begin from the lowest point of the road to the east. Since this Resonance Beacon is located adjacent to the Inferno Rider Boss arena, it’s convenient to teleport there for future battles with the Inferno Rider Boss.

Defeating Inferno Rider

When you first encounter the Wuthering Waves Inferno Rider, he swiftly mounts his enormous motorcycle to charge at you, so you must stay agile to evade his attacks. His vehicular assaults are rapid and include sharp u-turns, making it crucial to keep moving to avoid being hit.

Watch out for the Inferno Rider’s slash attacks which emit yellow flames; some of these strikes may appear counter-able but lack the specific yellow circle prompts. It’s important not to mistake these visual effects for opportunities to counterattack!

As the Inferno Rider’s health drops to around 75%, he ends up losing his bike, making him somewhat easier to handle. Now on foot, he resorts to slower melee strikes interspersed with periods of ‘resting’—moving slowly without attacking—and some attacks that can be countered.

Watch for the counterattack signals (two yellow circles). When you strike at the correct time, it will reduce some of the Inferno Rider’s Vibration Strength. When all the Vibration Strength is used up, the Inferno Rider will be unable to move for some time and you can get some hits in.

Impermanence Heron

Wuthering Waves Boss Battles Guide

Boss Location

The Impermanence Heron Boss can be found beneath Camp Overwatch in the Desorock Highland. To locate it, look for the boss icon positioned on a large overhanging rock formation. Rather than scaling the slope directly above, follow the path leading underneath this rock formation.

If you haven’t unlocked any nearby Beacons yet, head west from the Withering Frontline and continue northward. This path will guide you to the Impermanence Heron. Alternatively, the quickest way to reach the Impermanence Heron is by using the Resonance Beacon located to the east, from where you can spot the Boss arena.

Defeating Impermanence Heron

At the beginning of the Wuthering Waves Boss fight, the Impermanence Heron initiates with a powerful soundwave attack that affects a wide area once it spots you. However, you can easily avoid this attack by maintaining a safe distance.

During the fight, the Impermanence Heron primarily uses close-range attacks, swiping at you with its wings. If you position yourself behind the Heron and dodge its attacks, you won’t have to constantly move away from the Boss.

Keep alert when the Impermanence Heron takes flight, as this usually signals an incoming ranged attack. Fortunately, you can counter most of these attacks by hitting the Heron when two white circles appear. This tactic not only helps you avoid damage but also weakens the Boss by reducing its Vibration Strength, eventually immobilizing it.

The Impermanence Heron occasionally lifts one of its wings, standing on a single leg to execute a powerful forward ‘sweep’ attack. This attack takes a while to charge, making it a good chance to perform a Dodge Counter by moving behind the Boss. Another move to watch out for is its ground slam; when the Impermanence Heron takes flight, prepare to dodge it.

Periodically, the Impermanence Heron will move away and unleash a force field attack that draws you in. Use the sprint button to move in the opposite direction and evade this attack.

Fortunately, the Impermanence Heron occasionally pauses briefly during its journey across the battlefield, refraining from attacking. Take advantage of these intervals to swiftly strike it multiple times.

Boss Fight Rewards

Defeating this boss every time will give you the following rewards:

  • Union EXP x450

Lampylumen Myriad

Boss Location

The Lampylumen Myriad Boss can be found within Tiger’s Maw Mine, located south of Jinzhou. While the map icon doesn’t indicate the Boss’s exact location, it’s advisable not to scale the tall cliffs to reach Lampylumen Myriad. Instead, head towards the central area of Tiger’s Maw Mine and descend the middle pathway to find it.

Head towards the southern tunnel and continue down its path until you come across the Lampylumen Myriad Boss arena directly ahead. Once you arrive at this spot, make sure to activate the Resonance Beacon located next to the arena. This will allow you to fast travel back to the Lampylumen Myriad location whenever needed in the future.

Defeating Lampylumen Myriad

During the battle with the Lampylumen Myriad, you’ll notice it frequently disappears and reappears next to you, often becoming translucent. When it reappears suddenly, be prepared to dodge to avoid its melee attacks, which cannot be countered. After dodging, you can strike back to deal damage.

At times, the Lampylumen Myriad jumps up and performs an airborne attack that you can counter. Look for two yellow circles appearing before its strike, which signals an opportunity to interrupt the attack and weaken its Vibration Strength. Unlike some other bosses, this battle doesn’t offer as many chances to counterattack, so make each opportunity count.

Periodically, the Lampylumen Myriad unleashes a wide-reaching ice attack or charges forward enveloped in icy mist. After the icy burst, it becomes temporarily immobilized, giving you a prime moment to launch your attacks. Overall, the Lampylumen Myriad attacks slowly with frequent pauses, making it advantageous to stay close and dodge rather than keep a distance.

The most challenging aspect of facing the Wuthering Waves Lampylumen Myriad Boss is its freezing ability. When struck by this attack, you can become immobilized. To break free from being frozen, follow the on-screen instructions and rapidly press the ‘A’ and ‘D’ keys.
