Publisher Team17 and developer Black Matter have announced the release of Update 12 for their WWII shooter Hell Let Loose called Falling Dark. Falling Dark update brings new experiences to the online strategic shooter such as a new map, night-time and low light map variations along with additional Commander Abilities, new vehicles, a flare gun, and new camouflage for the Tiger Tank. Falling Dark is the biggest update yet to arrive for Hell Let Loose and it brings the immersive atmosphere of low light and night-time battles across five different maps. The update also brings Warfare and German Offensive game modes come to the iconic Omaha Beach map, which also includes spawning points within landing crafts for greater authenticity. You now also have the ‘precision strike’ Commander ability which allows each side to call upon aerial support of iconic WWII fighter planes.

These include the Ju-87 Stuka and the P47 Thunderbolts which will bombard areas where the enemies are most entrenched. You can also use these aerial strikes against enemy vehicles, exposed garrisons, and more. Apart from aerial strikes, you can also call down supplies with the new ‘ammo drop’ ability. This will deliver emergency stocks of medical supplies, ammunition, and explosives for soldiers at any point on the map.

  • Reintroduced – German Panther Tank
  • New Camo – German Tiger Tank
  • Half-track MGs
  • Improvements to existing maps (Kursk, Omaha Beach)
  • New FX (blood hits, Artillery explosion, and more)

Hell Let Loose is also getting a free weekend on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 running from today until July 24, 2022. During this duration, players will also get a discounted price of 33% on PCs and 30% off on consoles. Hell Let Loose was released in July 2021. The last update released for the game was Outflank back in December 2021.
