Xbox Games with Gold December 2018 Revealed, Puzzles, Platforms, Explosions

Xbox Games with Gold December 2018

Microsoft has revealed Xbox Games with Gold for the last month of 2018, December and there seems to be a little bit of everything. We will be getting puzzles, platforms and explosions all in one month.

The titles leading the pack for Games with Gold in December will be Q.U.B.E. 2 and Never Alone. For Xbox 360, players will be getting Dragon Age II and Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction.

Check out the reveal video below.

These four titles offer a totally different experience and players who have not played them earlier would be glad to have them for free in this month. Although they might not look like AAA titles but all of them are quite decent titles.

Starting with Q.U.B.E. 2, you will begin your journey on an alien planet with no memory and nothing in your hand. You will solve a variety of awesome puzzles which will really bend your mind and change the very structure of the planet in order to head back home. If you really want to give your brain a twist, this is the game for you. Q.U.B.E. 2 will be available from December 1 to 31 for free.

Coming to Never Alone, this beautiful indie game will take you a winter wonderland where you will experience the culture and lore of Iñupiat people. You take control of a little Iñupiat girl who is accompanied by an equally little white fox and you set on a journey to find the truth between the blizzard that is hell-bent on destroying everything. It is a great indie title and you will love the art style of the game. Never Alone will become available on December 16 and will remain free until January 15.

Coming to the 360 title, Dragon Age II which is completely playable on Xbox One, I have never been a fan of Dragon Age II. Back when the game came out, it was too repetitive and the game mechanics were very disappointing. I always consider it as the weakest game among the three Dragon Age titles.

If you are waiting for the next Dragon Age game and want to play something to kill time in between, it might serve as a time filler. Do not expect any groundbreaking mechanics or storytelling. For me, Dragon Age II nearly ruined the franchise until Dragon Age Inquisition came out and redeemed the franchise. Dragon Age II will be free from December 1 to 15.

The last title is Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction. I’ll be honest here. I have never played any Mercenary title. They have never appealed to me much and I will not be playing Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction as well. Mercenaries and Just Cause just feel similar to each other with explosions and players overthrowing governments on islands and I have always opted for Just Cause.

The game in question here is actually a really old title however it promises a lot of explosions, mayhem and definitely no mercy. You get a lot of GTA and Just Cause like mechanics like hijacking vehicles, shooting with a lot of guns, making big explosions and much. It will be a good game for some casual time pass however not recommended if you are looking for something more hard core.
