Xbox Scarlett Offers 40X Performance, Variable Refresh Rate, SSD, 8K

Xbox Scarlett Performance

Xbox Scarlett was a major highlight of the Microsoft conference at E3 2019 and we got a lot of details concerning the upcoming next-generation console. It will come out next year and will be the most powerful console on the market. Xbox Scarlett performance is going to be 40 times higher than that of the current generation.

Phil Spencer mentioned that the Xbox is developed by the same team that built the Xbox One X and the Xbox Elite controller. The video shown at E3 2019 confirmed that the Xbox is powered by AMD Zen and Navi graphics architecture. It also confirmed that the console will feature variable refresh rate and comes with a very fast SSD just like the upcoming PS5.

The Xbox will have a high refresh rate and will support 8K gaming. It has also been confirmed that the upcoming console will support next-generation of ray tracing. The devs mentioned that the next Xbox will be able to output frame rates up to 120 FPS and that it will reduce loading times dramatically, which is something that we have also heard about the upcoming PS5.

Phil Spencer confirmed that this is the highest performing console that will be on the market and that this is going to be the future of gaming. The release window of Xbox Scarlett is Holiday 2020. Spencer mentioned that it will have power that you can feel and see. The video mentioned that the upcoming next-generation Xbox will have 40 times the performance of the current generation.

The devs talked about the Xbox Scarlett using GDDR6 memory and that the new SSD can be used as virtual RAM in order to provide the needed performance boost. The next Xbox is going to be about speed and performance and the developers claim that this is going to be the most immersive console experience ever. These claims are pretty bold and I am excited but I am still waiting to see what PS5 is going to offer before I decide between the two.

Phil Spencer also confirmed that next year, Xbox Scarlett will be launched with Halo. Spencer also mentioned that the Xbox One can be used as a private server with Project xCloud and that will allow you to game wherever you want.

Microsoft has revealed plenty of details regarding the specifications and performance of the Xbox Scarlett, now we have to see whether or not it is going to be enough to outperform the PS5. Not only in terms of power but in sales figures as well.

The Xbox One X is already the most powerful console on the market right now and I would not be surprised if Xbox Scarlett performance is high enough to beat the PS5. At the end of the day, Microsoft wants to maintain the “most powerful console” position in the market and I think that is what the company is aiming for.

We do not know what the pricing is going to be like but keeping in mind that the Xbox Scarlett is going to release in 2020, it is more than likely that we will get a lot more information next year at E3.

Let us know what you think about the claimed performance of the Xbox Scarlett and whether or not you think this is going to be the most powerful console on the market when it comes out in 2020.
