Yakuza: Like a Dragon Producer Confirms Demo Prior to Game Launch

Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Sega had previously announced that a new Yakuza title is in the works and it is called Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Now the producer of the title has announced a demo for the game, which will available for players ahead of the official launch.

The announcement came in the latest issue of the Japanese magazine, Famitsu. The producer of the game Masayoshi Yokoyama confirmed that a demo will be released ahead of the release date of the game. So players can get their hands on the demo well before the launch date.

Other than the confirmation, there have not been any other details about the game or its content. Having said that, the producer did say that the content will be different from the one shown at the TGS event held this year.

Yakuza Like a Dragon is the seventh title in the Yakuza series and will launch in January next year for the Japanese audience. The game will then follow up with an official release for the western players sometime next year. An official release date has not been confirmed for either of the releases.

Other than being the next title in the long-running series, we do know that the game will introduce new mechanics. Unlike what we are used to with the fighting mechanics, Yakuza Like a Dragon will implement RPG mechanics. The essence of Yakuza and its gameplay experience will be retained even though the combat mechanic will be something totally new in the series.

With the producer of the game confirming a demo to be released ahead of launch, we expect to get our hands in it sometime in the next months. We will hope to see a lot more about the game, its content, and the new changes that the developers have planned for it.
