AMD RX Vega 56 Gets Price Cut To Compete With Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti

AMD RX Vega 56

The Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti was released recently and the graphics card offers similar performance to the GTX 1070. In order to compete with the new product, AMD has cut the price of the RX Vega 56. The price is supposed to be $275 but at the time of writing this article, I could not fine a model that was around this price point. The cheapest AMD RX Vega 56 model that I could find cost $360 and it was a custom model from Asus.

AMD RX Vega 56 is a great graphics card for 1440p gaming and it can handle pretty much any game at 1440p 60 FPS. Not to mention that it has 8 GB of HBM2 memory unlike the 6 GB GDDR6 that you get with the GTX 1660 Ti. 1440p gaming does need more VRAM and that is where the AMD RX Vega 56 comes out on top.

If AMD can bring the price down and the retailers do sell it for $275, the AMD RX Vega 56 is going to be great value for money and will be the go-to card for 1440p gaming. It is also worth mentioning that AMD is bundling Resident Evil 2 Remake, Devil May Cry 5 and Division 2 with the graphics card. These games are worth around $180 on their own and if you minus the price of the games then you are paying $95 for an AMD RX Vega 56 graphics card. That is incredible value for money.

Resident Evil 2 Remake has already been released and is very popular amongst the fans but the other two games have yet to come out. Both Devil May Cry 5 and The Division 2 have a lot of hype around them and I think that people who are interested in playing these games at 1440p will consider the AMD RX Vega 56 graphics card at $275.

Let us know what you think about the AMD RX Vega 56 graphics card and whether or not you would be interested in buying one at $275.

  1. Please correct this article since AMD have *clarified* that this is a SALE and NOT a price drop. Meaning you can’t find any version of this card for this much in any retailer anymore.
