Once you have located and upgraded all the Prosthetic Tools, you will unlock the “Master of the Prosthetic Trophy/achievement. These Prosthetic Tools play a vital role in hitting an enemies weak spots, and to give you an advantage in combat.

When you have acquired a Prosthetic Tool, you can save it in your inventory and bring it back to the Sculptor in the Dilapidated Temple. This where the Sculptor will fit the tool to the players arm.

Fighting or using your Prosthetic Tool consumes Spirit Emblems. These emblems are gained by defeating an enemy. You can also increase the number of these emblems by upgrading your skills.

Upgrading a Prosthetic Tool requires some material before you have the Sculptor upgrade it for you. You are usually required items like Black Gunpowder, Scrap Iron, Scrap Magnetite and other items.

Below we have detailed all the locations of the Prosthetic Tools and how you can get them. If you miss picking up a Prosthetic Tool, you can replay the area anytime to collect the item for yourself, as they all are unmissable.

Prosthetic Tool #1 – Shuriken Wheel

This Prosthetic Tool can be found in the Ashina Outskirts, at the Gate Path of the Outskirts Wall. When you reach the Outskirts Wall Gate Path fast travel point, look for the next building.

You need to grapple from the idol to jump through a hole in this building. Once you are in, a body on the left will contain this Prosthetic Tool. With this weapon you can upgrade the Shuriken Wheel to a Loaded Shuriken Tool.

Prosthetic Tool #2 – Robert’s Firecrackers

This item can be found in the same area as the previous tool location. Here you will have to fight a mini boss in a courtyard called General Naomori Kawarada. Once you are past him, you can take the path that going to his left and downhill.

Now you will see a tall mountain to your left that you can climb with your grapple. On the top you will find a secret merchant in a tent that will sell you the tool for 500 money.

With the tool, the Sculptor will upgrade Robert’s Firecrackers into the Shinobi Firecracker tool.

Prosthetic Tool #3 – Flame Barrel

This Prosthetic Tool can be found in the Hirata Estate region on the Estate Path. This area is unlocked after you get the bell to unlock the Hirata Estate. With the bell you can use it at the altar at the Dilapidated Temple.

In the Estate Path fast travel point or idol, jump towards the walls on the right until you are in a large area with an archer on the roof, with a lot of enemies around a campfire. The tool is inside the campfire, and is hard to spot.

Walk over the campfire to see it, and then pick it up. Bring it to the Sculptor who will turn the Flame Barrel into the Flame Vent tool.

Prosthetic Tool #4 –  Shinobi Axe of the Monkey

This tool is very close to eh previous item that you found; Flame Barrel. From the same campfire, take the path that leads upstairs. This is also the main story path. Here you will find a man dying and leaning against the wall to the right. He will tell you about the axe.

Next, you need to go left and enter the other courtyard where you will find 2 enemies standing in the small garden. Kill them and open the small garden house that the enemies were guarding. Inside you will find the tool. Bring it back to the Sculptor who will turn the Shinobi Axe into the Loaded Axe tool.

Prosthetic Tool #5 – Mist Raven’s Feathers

This Prosthetic Tool can also be found in the Hirata Estate, after you have defeated the Shinobi Hunter Enshin of Misen mini-boss. From there you will come across the Bamboo thicker Slope idol.

Continue from this path after the idol, towards a few steps of some small stairs, and then to grapple on the tree to the left. Now you need to jump in the water, and swim upriver all the way to the end.

From here, and on your right will be another grapple point on the tree where a golden item can be pick up. to the right of this item will be a door or barricade that you need to destroy and enter.

This new path will lead you into a cave where powerful ninja enemies will spawn, you can run around and open the temple door to collect this tool. Bring it back to the Sculptor who will turn the Mist Raven’s Feathers into the Mist Raven tool.

Prosthetic Tool #6 – Gyoubu’s Broken Horn

This Prosthetic Tool can be found in the Ashina Castle. From the first idol of fast travel from this area, you need to jump off from the bridge to the ledge and grapple to the tree branch.

There will be two enemies here standing on the bridge. Kill them and go down to the right side until you reach the Ashina Reservoir idol. Sneak through the grass and to where the Gatehouse is. There will be many riflemen around here along with two big hammer enemies patrolling the area.

You need to open the gatehouse with the key, and inside will be a treasure box contain the tool. Bring it back to the Sculptor who will turn the Gyoubu’s Broken Horn to the Loaded Spear tool.

Prosthetic Tool #7 – Sabimaru

This Prosthetic Tool can be found in the Upper Tower of the Antechamber in Ashina Castle. From the Ashina Castle fast travel, you need to jump on the rooftops on the right side and follow the smoke signals on the roofs of the big tower in the middle of the map.

You need to enter this tower from the roofs, where the Antechamber idol is. fo into the room where some samurai will be patrolling the area. Jump down the tower from here, where at the bottom you will find four enemies guarding a treasure chest in a room. This will contain the treasure chest where you can find the Sabimaru tool.

Prosthetic Tool #8 – Iron Fortress

This Prosthetic Tool can be found in the Ashina Castle, Old Grave fast point. From the Old Grave idol, you need to jump down to the left side towards a building with a broken rooftop. Go through this broken section in the roof where you will find a merchant hiding.

The merchant will sell you this Iron Fortress tool for 1600 money.

Prosthetic Tool #9 – Large Fan

This Prosthetic tool can be found in the Gun Fort, at the third idol of the Sunken Valley. From this idol location, enter a room where you have to fight the Long-arm Gentipede Giraffe boss.

Once you have killed this boss, the Large Fan part can be found in this room. Bringing this item back to Sculptor will turn it into Divine Abduction Prosthetic Tool.

Prosthetic Tool # 10 – Slender Finger

This Prosthetic Tool can be found in the Bodhisattva Valley. Where it is immediately dropped by the Guardian Ape main boss in the main story. The Guardian Ape is the last boss of this area, and is a mandatory fight in the game.

Bringing this item back to the Sculptor will turn if into the Finger Whistle Prosthetic Tool.
