PlayStation 5 Features Hinted In Sony Job Listing

Sony PlayStation 5

The PlayStation 5 is going to be the next-generation console from Sony that will take on the Xbox One Scarlett and Maverick. Very little is known about the upcoming console but a recent job listing mentions the next-generation console and might hint at features that it might have to offer.

While there is little information regarding the PlayStation 5, it is speculated that the console will be revealed this year and will be released in 2020. If that is the case then this job listing is proof that Sony is actively developing the console and is speeding up its progress as well. You can check out the job listing below:

It is also worth pointing out that once this job listing got the attention of people it was edited and the mention on the next generation console was removed. This is very interesting indeed. While this is speculation, it would seem that Sony is working on some kind of streaming service for the PS5. Streaming could be a major feature and selling point for the PlayStation 5. Xbox One Maverick is going to be a totally digital console and Sony might have the same thing in mind as well.

Recent patents also suggest that the upcoming PS5 features might include backward compatibility as well. Which will allow you to play PS4 games or even older titles that you have on previous PlayStation consoles. That would be a very useful feature to have and will allow you to get rid of the older consoles that you have lying around.

There is plenty that we do not know about the PlayStation 5 and until we have an official announcement from Sony all this is speculation and guesswork. We will keep you updated regarding the matter. So stay tuned for more news and information regarding the upcoming console.
