Perk upgrades are mostly needed to get more resources and items. This is where you can unlock the Deconstruction Perk as it gives you more materials with every deconstruction you perform.

Other ways you would need resources is by unlocking the Field Proficiency Cache, which costs a lot, but gives you additional items per cache opened. Another is the Signature Weapon Ammo which increases the amount of ammo that is dropped, giving you a lot of freedom to use your newly obtained weapon to its full potential.

Lastly, unlocking the Accolade Perk can also be very handy if you want to progress through player levels quickly. This perk will increase XP bonuses with actions like multi-kills or headshots. The perk is pretty cheap as well, so it’s likely the first thing you should unlock.
