The first Intel Odyssey Xe graphics card has been revealed and it seems like an entry-level model that will take on the RX 560 or the GTX 1650. These cards are supposed to be released in 2020. The card has a single fan and a dual slot design. The new shroud design looks great. There is an Xe logo on the side which could feature RGB lighting but we are not sure at this point. The card also comes with a backplate.
The other design that we saw is more in light with the cards that we have on the market right now. You can check out both designs below:
The Intel Odyssey Xe Graphics Card is not the only thing that Intel revealed. The company also revealed a new graphics command center that you can check out below:
The following is what the company had to say about the graphics command center:
The Intel Graphics Command Center is an application that helps consumers optimize their experience with Intel Graphics. Built from the ground up and based on community feedback, the Intel Graphics Command Center is designed for simplicity and ease of use with a modern user interface, automatic game detection and one-click game optimization.
From what we can see here it seems that that development of the Intel Odyssey Xe graphics card is going well and that Intel should have something for us in 2020. Interestingly not only will Intel be competing with AMD but Nvidia has well.
Intel discrete graphics boss Raja Koduri talked about why he left AMD and joined Intel. The company also revealed information regarding the Intel Lakefield SOC that features 10nm Sunny Cove and Gen 11 graphics. AMD, on the other hand, is going to release the 3000 series CPU in order to compete with Intel in the CPU market.
