Ubisoft has announced that The Division 2 will be available to play for free to all players this weekend. This means that you can get the game from today, October 17 until October 21 on all platforms.
The free weekend will give you the whole game, which is essentially a full free game for 4 days, giving you plenty of time to go through the gameplay. The Free Weekend comes as Ubisoft has just launched Episode 2 of the game for players that hold the Season Pass. This brings more content with two new missions that you will get to play. The missions are set in the DARPA Research Labs and Pentagon.
While the servers for the free weekend go live today, you can start pre-loading the game for free via the store of your console or PC.
Ubisoft goes on to explain what is new in Episode 2 of The Division 2, where it details the new features that include new missions, and a new specialization called The Technician. This specialization comes with an Unreal style rocket launcher that can fire multiple rockets all at once.
The Technician also wields a Maxim 9 as their sidearm and has access to the Artificer Hive Skill Variant and EMP Grenades. It is a support Agent, which can boost both its own and others’ skills with its variant of the Hive, Artificer.
Other content includes a new Team Elimination mode in the Conflict PvP, along with a new map called The Wharf. Other items include a lot of new loot, weapons and cosmetic items that you can get for your main character. There is also new gear that can increase your speed while taking cover. If you have the Season Pass for the game, you will have access to everything mentioned above in the game.
